Week 10 - Final Demo

Our entire group was working hard this week to get our project in shape for the final demo as well as completing the videos and the design document. Many meals from the Tasty Wok Express food truck this week.

The trailer video came out well (posted on the home page of this website). Our goal was to communicate how we are studying immersion and presence using breath actions in VR by showing a clip of the breath device combined with some clips of the prototypes in action as well as a showing of UI systems. Our team also produced a longer demo video where one can tour the entire breath lab - highly recommend watching both videos!

When we gave our in-class final demo we had trouble with the breath particle system. Little disappointing. We could receive data from the OSC device but for some reason the breath particle system was not working despite it working with the same build on the lab computers as well as working perfectly the previous day on the same computer during the tech check. Murphy’s Law strikes again. Later we were able to give a complete demonstration with everything working to the Professor and several TAs in the research lab. Phew!
